Placet Sicque Suum: A comparison of the worldviews of Egypt and Mesopotamia Egypt and Mesopotamia were both thriving examples of civilization in their working day, yet their worldview differed drastically: Mesopotamia had a negative outlook upon the world and life in general, whereas Egyptians had a far more positive worldview. The negative worldview in the Mesopotamians was most likely caused by the lack of stability within their lives. For example , their particular two main rivers—The Tigris and The Euphrates—flooded wildly in unpredictable moments, ruining plants and creating mass starvation. Being unable to understand, each year, if farms could yield enough crops to feed the people definitely might have added to the negative attitude of the Mesopotamians. Another contributor to their bad worldview was how convenient it was for armies to invade.
